By funride
Everybody knows the best domain one can choose it is the dot com (.com) but it is also true that it is possible to save some money by choosing another domain (.net, .info, .eu, .tk, etc).
If you do not feel the need to have a dot com (.com) domain or if the subdomain (your site name) you really want it is already taken and you want to save some money on the domain registration, then you have found the right information on how to get your FREE Domain Name.
Absolutely free?
Yes, absolutely free!

Free URL Redirection
If you already own your domain name but it is not exactly the one you wanted or it is too long, you can always get a .co.nr and redirect it to your own URL. This way it will be easier to have a shorter URL and to send people there without mistakes.
If you want to set a .co.nr (www.yourname.co.nr) domain you should start by choosing the subdomain name you want and see if it is available. You can do this on their home page FreeDomain.CO.NR by just typing the name you want and click on the "Check!" button and see if it is available or not.
Then you must register yourself on the site and you are ready to get your own domain name.
This option can be useful if you have a site with a very long name or even a blog and you want to make it look better or more professional.
Free Domain Name Registration + Free DNS service
Now it is time to show you the real deal. With the CO.CC domain beside being able to redirect to your URL you can always host your subdomain (www.yourname.co.cc) on some hosting provider and have your own URL for life.
If you are going to use your site commercially then you will be asked to pay a yearly renewal fee ($3). Otherwise it is free and yours forever!
To choose your domain name go to their homepage at CO.CC, you should start by typing the name you want and check if it is still available. You will be asked to register and then you just have to setup your account in order to host your new domain or to redirect it to where you want.

funride, Good hub. I like my free subdomain, no ads and I like their domain name, so I'm happy (studioeast.atspace.com) with the choice I made. I did a lot of research though and learned about what you're talking about here with domains that redirect. It's a good idea too. Kind Regards
